Organization Admin permissions are required to manage embed users.
Embed users are users created within and granted access to an embedded instance of Omni. Unlike standard Omni users who sign in directly, embed users are provisioned programmatically and interact with Omni through your embedded application. The Settings > Users > Embed tab lets Organization Admins view, manage, and impersonate these users.

Viewing embed users

The Embed users tab displays the following about each embed user:
  • External ID - The unique identifier for the user in your system
  • Host - The domain extracted from the user’s email address
  • Embed Entity (if present) - The entity associated with the embed user
  • Last Login - The time the user last logged in to Omni. This will always be Never for embed users, as they don’t log into an Omni instance.

Managing embed users

Hover over the user you want to manage and click the Manage button that appears. This will open the user’s profile, where you can manage their user attributes, group memberships, and model access.

Impersonating embed users

Just like standard Omni users, Organization Admins can impersonate embed users. This feature is useful for testing or troubleshooting user permissions, such as Access Grants or content visibility.
